Our parish’s outreach to the mission community of Cinco de Mayo, Mexico began in 1989. Mission teams from SFX have traveled to Cinco almost every year since then completing a variety of projects from assisting in the construction of the village’s church to painting assorted buildings.
This mission experience is open to all parishioners. About 10 years ago we began offering students at John Carroll Catholic High School the opportunity to participate in the mission trip for their service project. Participants must be at least 16 years old and a junior in high school. We are always looking for people who are interested in being part of this exciting ministry.
