Family Bingo is part of our Family Night Out events.  This Family Night Out event is for the whole Parish.  We gather as a Parish Community for dinner or goodies.

Adult Bingo: Bingo, Barbeque, Blue Jeans Bash

This Bingo event is for All the Adults of the parish.  Johnny Rays BBQ, pies, drinks and beverages and prizes galore!  If you are looking for some great fun this is the event for you.  This event continues to grow in popularity.

Casino Trip

Join your adult friends from our parish for a Day Trip to Philadelphia. Adventure Bus Charters and Tours will carry us worry free to the Casino to enjoy all the fun you can afford.  $20.00 per person for the ride there and back and you get $15.00 back in chips to use at the casino.

Parish Fun Day and Picnic

Parish Fun Day and Picnic is one of our parish’s biggest on-going annual events.  This event takes place every year.  It is a combined effort of many, if not all the commissions in our parish.  The activities vary from year to year but almost always include, pony rides, a petting zoo, a cake walk, dunking booth, face painting, cookie decorating, arts and crafts, and relay races.  Carnival games such as bowling, golf, go-fish, milk jug knockdown, ring the bottle, and many more.  Hotdogs, popcorn, snow cones, cotton candy, and drinks are our source of energy.  Kids also have the opportunity to ride a water-slide or go jumping in a big blow-up moonwalk.

Special Night Out

This Activity provides quality care to children and families with special needs. Once a month during the Fall, Winter, and Spring, Families from our faith community and families from outside our community can bring their child with special needs as well as any other children that may need day care for a night of fun.  While the children are playing games at Saint Francis Xavier Parish Hall, Gym and Nursery, the parents are free to go out on a much-needed evening out.  This Ministry also provides individuals and families and opportunity to reach out to those families that are blessed with a child with special needs.

Family Night Out

Skating/Movies/Bowling/Bingo/Advent in our Homes / Baseball Games

The Family Night out Events are wide open.  They are designed to have something for everyone.   The Family Life Commission is dedicated to sponsoring events that have something for everyone.

Married Fellowship

Chairman:  Sue and Matt Abele

A time set aside four times a year for married couples to fellowship in one of our parish family homes.  Couples can take the children to the nursery at Saint Francis Xavier and go to a nearby home of one of our parishioners for a potluck meal and fellowship.  The Family Life Commission wants to provide married couple a time to go out and have some quality time with each other and parishioners with common Life styles. Each time we gather it is at a different home. All Married couples are welcome.

Advent in Our Homes

Advent in Our Homes is a ministry that is co-sponsored by Family Life and St. Margaret’s Band. This signifies the end of the liturgical year and begins the Advent season in preparation for the Feast of the Nativity, Christmas.  Families get together with other families from our Parish to have some Chili to warm us up.  The traditional chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese for our younger parishioners is always a big hit.  This is a time for us to be with our own family and other parish families.  We learn together how we can better live out our faith in our homes with our families during the Advent season.  Each family gets to make and advent wreath to take home with them to use during Advent.  This is one of our Parish’s greatest annual events.
